Buy My Books

"To those who want to see real improvement in American education, I say: There will be no renaissance without revolution." --George Bush I (April 18, 1991)

Not sure where I found this link: Economics As A Poet Publisher. The labor of love.

Wish I could attend Matt Furey's Get Tough seminar. Nevertheless, his belief system has definitely rubbed off on me.

Added several pieces to my inventory at the Calliope Nerve store. Go, look, buy my books. Support good causes. :)

Great link I found from a past APA Centauri member. Wonder if I can track him down? Now, as this year's Central Mailer I have some APA business to attend to.

Looks like another two or three inches of snow will fall today again, making this our snowiest February on record. Tomorrow, I've got martial arts to teach, Dungeons and Dragons to play with the kids, and reading to catch up on but today I still have to go work.

On Fight Club

"Amazing and artful disturbance. Fight Club is for everybody who thinks and loves the fine American language." --Barry Hannah

I've never seen the movie. The book is f*cking brilliant. It reads like poetry on 'roids. Or punk music without the guitars. Definitely, one of the finest pieces of work I've ever laid eyes on.

The Library Helped Me Start My Business

Found via Book Sale Finder: The Library Helped Me Start my Business.

My thirteen year old daughter Kayla just sold her first book on Amazon.

And another interesting link found via Book Sale Finder: Collector Seeks Classical Records.

One last thing to those who buy books (or related) and sell them online, etc. How do you decide what to purchase for your inventory?

Doer

"The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it." --Michelangelo

Though I am bummed out that Lesnar lost to Mir, I have to say Lesnar is all class. A gracious man, with a humble response to his UFC debut and loss: "There’s no shame in losing," he said. "When I was a young kid, I lost my very first wrestling match, and I was pissed off and didn’t even want to go out for wrestling (any more), and my wrestling coach said you’ve got to learn how to lose before you can learn how to win. I don’t like to lose, and I’ve carried that with me all these years and we’re gonna try again how not to lose in this sport."

Lesnar's loss also again proves the martial theory that skill and technique overcomes strength.

A link on burning fat.

This year I'm focusing on increasing my endurance, strength, flexibility, and keeping the weight off instead of the yo-yo effect I regularly cycle through.

None of our new students showed up to martial arts class Saturday, they did however call. Which is a positive sign but still either you do or you do not and I only desire to teach doers.

As I was working out tonight, I had a great martial arts concept come to me. More on that later because I still have more training to do and quite bluntly, I'm a doer.
