Calliope Nerve presents Michael McAloran's Final Fragments

Calliope Nerve Media is proud to offer you Michael McAloran's newest chap Final Fragments.

And since we believe in letting the words speak for themselves:

…In saying, that there can be no laughter, is like saying that there can be recourse to final slaughter, regardless of the consequential…Dragging this corpse from one day to the next, spilling tears like piss into the abattoir of desires and failures, wretched, obligatory, yet perhaps not, listless ennui…Bled dry upon a circumstantial cross, at once bleached by the indifferent sunlight, and all that permeates, in between...Idiocy to think, to think that there is a degree of meaning in our tears, our joys; the asylum awaits…I see the teeth of the night gleam in the pissoirs of foreign abandon…My heart vibrates…I piss upon love as if I were scratching at a festering wound…I find joy in the obscene…There is laughter, also, at the heart of the stricken void…

…The resilience, that makes a mockery of a man, unto himself, finds in the shadows a breathing self that is at once alien, fluctuating, abandoned to the guillotine, the viscous dark and the laughter of the Unknown…There is nothing but…failure…And so impaled upon the cold blade of night, how much is sought for, and how much is found lacking?…Defecatory smiles, broken glass shimmering, the blood flowing, my head in a vice of worthless staggering…I know no motion…I am the stagnant breath of nothingness, drained from an infinity of lingering shit…

…Yet the laughter is of the slaughterhouse, shearing the skull, dressed in bloody light dressed in the foreign wind of dismemberment…I envision myself, stripped blood-red raw…The drained hand whispers, bile upon bile: I remember the silence of never having been…And so I whisper, and so I whisper, locked to the waves which crash, without hesitation…

Fragmented

So, taking a que from Samuel Delany's dhalgren, Kyle Muntz's Voices, and Michael McAloran's upcoming chap Final Fragments... I'm redoing my next book as a fragmented/poetry narrative. Same topics apply only bolder. I'm going for a different kind of book with unique style.

I'm sure it'll be complete with an Acid Trip, I like to trip.

Felino A. Soriano's Artist In Residence Now Available

"Felino continues his fine prolific output with another Calliope Nerve chap. One poem, one book, plus an interview. It's not just good poetry, it's good poetry you want to read." --Mario Angeles (Author Kiss My Death)

From an Email to a Friend

I promised you I'd say good morning. And so I am. I hope you've had pleasant dreams.

Did you dream things soft? Or something good?

Were you dreams filled with falling rabbits and mad men with over sized hats?

Maybe there was a great evil and a larger than life gambler flying a ship by the name Millennium who was frozen from his true love. Far, far away.

Perhaps there was a young girl's name spun in a web or a quest for The Golden Compass.

Did you dance if you wanted too?

The world behind your eye is a world Infinite.

Much like the one we inhabit awake...

Sometimes we just don't see.

These are the things I think about.

Every day.

Every night.

It's why the sun rises on friends old, friends new.

And why I get up.

Gone To Columbus

Working a side job while I'm on vacation this week. Should be able to port this work back to Akron and turn into a full time job shortly.

Have several Calliope Nerve books in the pipeline too with four ready for immediate release once I have the computer time to get them up.

But first, need to get everything worked out so the utilites and internet are on when my lease starts August 1st at the new apartment.

My daughter Kayla wrote a very touching suite of poems that I need to edit and help her create a book.

The kids need me right now and I need myself. In all of this, I've lost my best friend, my wife and so much else. No more loss. Not for me, not for my kids.

More soon, I'm temporarily without my own internet or my own computer.

Peace, Love, Jesus, Death Metal,

Nob out

Firefly: The Message (Repost)

I know I've posted this before... but it's fitting to my life. It's me. Tell my folks, I wanted to do right by them... I'm wasting my time.

"When you can't run, you crawl, and when you can't crawl - when you can't do that... You find someone to carry you." --Firefly (The Message)

You know the rest.

Lacey wanted to know, "Daddy, why are you crying?"

Mind Pulp: ToolWEB

ToolWEB is a competitor site I use at work to research new and specialty tools.

I'm thinking of it because not only is it well designed, and has a great interface, it would be the perfect model for selling books online.

Today I'm thinking about online publications. MATCO's Torque magazine is a good example of what's here and what's to come. Everything is going viral.

Flowers for Algernon

I picked myself flowers again today and put them on my desk at work. It may be odd but at least they came from someone who loves me unconditionally.

The mouse is getting smarter.

Lynch Your Neighbors

Okay... so I'm acutally getting a little sleep (about an hour) with almost no meds or tranqs for the first time in weeks and Miss and Miss Drunk have to come rolling in. At 0230 in the morning, they are screaming at each other about "sell some more drugs." The irony is almost laughable.

Now I'm awake and plotting their lynching.

You can lynch too. Tell the cops, Nobius made you to do it.

Besides, who the hell doesn't like to *hang* around?
